My name came with big skates to fill. At the top of my game, I had everything I wanted – or so I thought. The exchange in Dallas was not what I expected, but neither were the divorce papers submitted to me. I am now a single father in a city that is not my home.

I handed over my biggest client when I was 22 fulfilled my dreams. Over time, our working relationships changed, and we got closer, leaning on each other for support. He was my rock, my best friend. Then one drunken night changed everything, and I saw what was in front of me all the time. I just hope that when the dust settles, we will not regret it.

While reading this book, I discovered that the protagonist Cooper is the son and grandson of the protagonists listed in Something So series. I now have a new series to add to my reading list. Anyway, do not deviate, I enjoyed this story.

Cooper’s career began in New York City, but in order to please his wife, he traded to Dallas. However, this does not seem to be enough, as she submitted divorce documents to him. Feeling he was a failure, he turned to the one man who always had his back, his agent and best friend Erica.

The tug between Erica and Cooper rustled and jumped, but they could not see what everyone else saw. It took a night of parties until the line between friends and lovers blurred. Will they regret one night of pleasure and move on, or will they endanger their friendships and ignite the attraction between them?

Only On Regret had a different atmosphere from the previous books in the series. I found it a comfortable and relaxing read. Without drama and anxieties with a bit of humor flowing at the right time.

What I liked 📚 Just one regret

  1. The romance: Sweet with lots of steam being thrown in for good order. The transition from friends to lovers happened smoothly. I believe the fact that they understood each other so well helped strengthen their relationship.
  2. the characters: A strong and independent heroine who has a caring heart and will bend over backwards for her best friend and daughters. She has worked hard to achieve success as a sports agent and is good at what she does. A single father who puts the well-being of his daughters before anything else. A person who is not afraid to stand up for his mistakes. One who turns the women’s heads, but has eyes only for the one woman who always has her back. A person who knows the true meaning of being faithful.
  3. Writing style: Madison attracts her readers with her solid and engaging writing style. The way she described each character will make you invest in every aspect of her relationship.

As you can see, I enjoyed this episode. However, I had one problem. More was needed from Erica’s history. No details were given regarding her family background and the reason for her choice of career as a sports agent.

Overall, 📚 only one regret was a delightful read. Fans of trope-loving friends should consider adding it to their reading list. You will have no regrets.

About Natasha Madison

When her nose is not buried in a book, or her fingers are flying on a typing keyboard, she is in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in no less than four-inch heels, in a car traveling with children, or perhaps with her husband who determines his business travels. It’s good that her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador does not listen to her …
