Congenital drugs and malformations

Another selection from the Library for the Prevention of Drug Use. I lost count of how many appeared on our site. This series had a ridiculous number of volumes. (There are probably more but you can find some examples here, here and here.) We also have the accompanying book on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
Again we have weird stock photos that are barely in context and a sad story of drug use. All of our stories feature teenagers who actually ruined their lives. Coincidentally, the “fathers” of these babies are not in the picture or worse, are not responsible for any of this. Notice the caption in the first image below. This book introduces the mother side and the father role of these babies is not even considered.
The more I look at these books, the more convinced I am that this series is a waste of money and trees of the library.
