“It’s everyone’s dream, right? Instead of many giving you small pieces of themselves – one that gives you everything.”

Hello, lovely readers!

After many years of waiting, few words could describe the excitement I felt when I finally held this book in my hand. Its cover and color scheme are amazing, hinting at the content it contains and promising great things.

Well, lovely readers, I’m here today to tell you that this book will not disappoint.

The magic of the London Institute’s shadow hunters is unstoppable, especially when they have familiar last names like The Rondale and Car stairs. The new generation of shadow hunters was a pleasure to meet and I was happy to see that the connection between the Rondale and the Carstirs remained as strong as ever.

The relationship between James and Cordelia intrigued me the most. As always, Cassandra Claire manages to write a novel full of anxieties that makes me rip the novel apart to find out if they will ever end up together. And as always, the end is never the one we expect. If I take the next book, it will be mostly to find out if James and Cordelia have a happy ending or not.

Reading about married Tessa and Will was like coming home after years of freedom and finding your family eagerly awaiting your arrival. There is something special about picking up a book and getting to know your favorite old characters again. Even the familiar last names were enough to excite me.

The story throughout the book was a bit disappointing but intensified rapidly towards the end. This left me with more questions asked than answered and made me realize that this first book was probably just a definition for the next book.

that’s it!

Have you read this book?

Until we meet again!
Xx Alexia
