What is the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Beyond the song?

I wanted to write about growing up in the late 60s and early 70s and what it was like to be a part of the counterculture and try to be successful in the music business.

Women’s Historical Literature.

The scene where Carol Marx meets songwriter Rose McCoy while she waits for her voice lesson.

My original song – “Big kids can not survive”
