John Stamp Takes Readers On An Action-Packed Fight For Survival In New Thriller BLOOD RED IVORY • WildBlue Press

The Navy’s special investigator, Tyrone Benhof, is in the tunnel. This is what agents call it when they find themselves on the wrong side of command and are transferred to a place like Djibouti, Africa. He tried to open a case in Virginia that was too close to the wrong people. He is now being followed to the slightest inconvenience so that his enemies at headquarters can expel him from the agency.

When a sailor on holiday from Lemonier Camp, Djibouti, Africa was killed outside a wildlife sanctuary in Zimbabwe, Ty was hand-picked to lead the investigation. He finds himself in the midst of a grass war between ivory smugglers and an incredible group of anti-hunter guards trying to protect a herd of endangered elephants. If his enemies in the NCISHQ do not get him, it’s even money the Zimbabwean savage will get.

But Tyrone Benhoff does not leave a portfolio … even when the whole thing was an installation from the beginning.

A wild ride by a thriller from John Stamp, whose twenty-year law enforcement career has included roles as a police officer and special agent in the FBI and NCIS.

From the book:

He examined the flattened and torn piece of lead that almost resembled a broken metal mushroom when he noticed movement in the background … a large movement. He shifted his focus from the bullet crisis to a gray giant standing no more than twenty feet away. An elephant bull with tall cheeks like his own physique, stared at him. His ears fluttered slowly in the heat, his trunk sniffed in his direction like the whole focus of the massive beast. “Oh shit.” Ty Benhoff found himself in a staring contest with an animal the size of his garage at home in Virginia.

“do not move.” The low voice was not much more than a whisper.

The bull snorted and hit the red dirt in his front leg.

“He’s trying to decide if you’re a threat or not.”

“Whoever you are…”

“He’s trying to decide if you’re alive or dead. Do not move, do not talk, and whatever you do, do not look away.”

“Yes.” For reasons that Tay could not explain, he found himself raising his hands as if the beast was robbing him.

“I said don’t move.” The voice was feminine and enduring. The elephant called out in a stormy trumpet sound and again a background in his leg. Benhoff realized he was shaking, or that it was his heart beating? He did not notice the blood dripping in his ears.

Praise to John Ball:

“It requires a lot of unexpected, well-researched and informative inquiries relevant to the events taking place today. The author has clearly done a comprehensive study of the real-world interactions and idiosyncrasies between law enforcement agencies, blowing the doors off most of the simplest books appealing to law enforcement.

“The unexpected but credible plot twists really caught me, and at the same time educated me, leaving me tearing up the final episodes at high speed, when I felt I knew the characters and wanted to know how the story would unfold.”

“The characters are so complex and personal, that I really connected with them and was disappointed with them – as if I knew them. The plot kept me excited with multi-level subplots and twists. It was like getting a behind-the-scenes look at what it must be like for law enforcement.”

“A great writing style that goes smoothly from one sequence of action to another without giving up on developing extraordinary characters.”

“It was a really easy read, which made me want more. I wish I could find out more details. Bull is not bad!”

“A fast-paced, thought-provoking, twisted story about a tough cop and his team dealing with corruption in high places. This story will make you think and leave you nervous. Highly recommend.”

“This is without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read. The character of the character was alive on the pages and the excitement was so visual that I felt the fire and the shock waves from the explosions. “I will not give spoilers! But John Stamp’s writing style makes him believe the story, and his words seem to speak for themselves. I will treat his book as a real talent!”

“A very good book. Lots of action, well-developed plot. Hard to put down.”

“I really like crime novels and this book was excellent … good pace, kept me engaged from start to finish …”

“This is a great book. I want more. I want to see it on the big screen !! John Stamp is a wonderful writer, who takes you on a journey with him into an amazing world that I could not let go of the book.”

“Your attention to detail and knowledge of the occult is wonderful and requires spelling. Thanks for a great read.”
