76 ways to get organized for Christmas
From his voice and Cooper
1982
This book is kind of my nightmare. These women are probably starting to plan for Christmas on December 26th. Clearly, from the introduction one can already see that they have too much spirit. All that is missing is a Gantt chart and PowerPoint. Since this book was published before many of the project management tools, I guess we could release it. That alone makes this book a weed.
I have a nervous attitude both at work and at home. (Many years ago, I wrote this piece about “forced fun” for the holidays. Much of it is still true.) I blame it on the day we returned to the country from the UK just before the holidays, and someone remarked that we should hurry up and turn on our home decorations, because it’s already Passed Thanksgiving. We just moved in. I still had a jet lag. The last thing I wanted to do was paste Christmas lights.
However, if you’re the kind of person who wants to make Christmas an 11 year old, this book was for you … in 1982. There are lots of holiday ideas for crafts, cooking and hospitality. Hell, we can even throw away a computer book so you can keep up with technology.
