“Thank you for coming to my rescue.”
“Thank you for coming to me.”

The Fastest Way to Fall was our first book by Dennis Williams and we loved it! A great combination of humor, sweetness, fainting, with a poignant plot and wonderfully treatable characters. A slow affair with a wonderful message about positivity in the body, for anyone who has struggled to find his place, for those of us who have struggled with weight, or for those who have not yet learned to love themselves, this is a story for you.

Despite its lightness and illustrated cover, this book touches on several important topics. Although not a dark read at all, but the story does deal with self-love, experiments on social networks, drug addiction and eating disorders, but as we said, the author deals with these in a light-hearted but no less important way.

‘I never wanted anyone to have the ammunition that would make me feel that way again.’

Parts of this story appealed to us greatly, and we connected with it in so many ways, as did many of our fellow readers. It was so communicative, that in the end, we not only encouraged Brita, but also encouraged ourselves, that was the way the writer told Brita’s story beautifully.

Editing assistant Brita Colby dreams of becoming a journalist, to share her thoughts and a refreshing perception of her battles with the world. Brita is natural, she is honest, open, and has a wonderfully funny sense of humor. Although Britta is actually happy with who she is, she suffers the judgment of others because of her weight.

‘She said she was ashamed to go to the gym like thin people would judge her and fat people would think she did not like herself?’

In front of her colleague Claire, to document her journey with a fitness and health app, Britta discovers, not only the power she exerts within it, but that she meets the amazing and sweet Wes Lawson. Now, every girl needs a Wes to spur her on! If he was our coach, we could not help but succeed with his encouragement and positivity. The sky will be the limit to what can be achieved if you have a Wes in your corner.

“Brita’s kiss was like her smile – she made me feel invincible.”

Bertha and her refreshing sincerity soon caught the attention of many followers on the net, who take to heart the chilling Brita. Her talent for writing what’s in her heart is a runaway success, but the stakes are high between Britta and Claire.

Wes Lawson is a man who fights his demons. There is so much vulnerability under his sunny veneer, and we could not love it anymore! So much is hiding under the CEO of the most popular FitME app.

“I promised I would catch you.”

The friendship between Wes and Brita was so sweet, and their love, a wonderful slow burn when both Wes and Brita look inward into themselves. What a wonderful read! We were there every step of the way, encouraging Brita Wes to the finish line. It definitely thrilled and motivated us, that’s for sure!

“For the record’s sake, you’re actually pretty big, Wes.”
“You’re pretty great too, Britt.”
